I don't even know why I'm creating this post. I wasn't intending to post for quite some time. There's so much to tell you guys- but somehow I don't feel like typing anything.
Mom and Dad left for Dubai yesterday and they were at the airport when I reached home from the hostel. Though the kids are keeping me occupied the whole time, it feels so weird in here without them around. I guess this is pretty normal; it’s just that I’ve never stayed away from them like this.
I feel a bit better than I did yesterday, and I’m trying to be happy and everything. Like Mamma said, “Think of the positive things, count your blessings”.
Mom and Dad,
I miss you guys! But don’t worry, I’ll keep smiling. I mean, we’d be meeting soon, yeah?. Very soon, yeah?. As in, VERY!
Take care!
Loads of love always,
Mahi

I had stumbled upon your blog while surfing and I must ay i am really impressed by the way you write... Its simple and effective :)
Hi ,
I was reading ur blog posts and found some of them to be very good.. u write well.. Why don't you popularize it more.. ur posts on ur blog ‘Feel the essence of life!’ and others... took my particular attention as some of them are interesting topics of mine too;
BTW I help out some ex-IIMA guys who with another batch mate run www.rambhai.com where you can post links to your most loved blog-posts. Rambhai was the chaiwala at IIMA and it is a site where users can themselves share links to blog posts etc and other can find and vote on them. The best make it to the homepage!
This way you can reach out to rambhai readers some of whom could become your ardent fans.. who knows.. :)
You can also win an exciting t-shirt by winning the contest which is going on in rambhai.com…. hurry up the contest is from 10 – 24 august…
Cheers,
hugs!
take care..

oh! i didnt comment? i thought i had!
i can still remember the first time i bid my folks farewell...
at first it didnt quite sink in as to what was happening...i'd already been living at the hostel for quite some time by then (cause college was too far to travel.) but then, i started walking along the platform as the train started moving and mum was in the window and i had her hand in mine...then as the train picked up speed, i had to break into a jog and then when i tried to let go, mum didnt at first and then she reluctantly let go when it got too fast...and i saw tears in mum's eyes and then i saw my bro and my dad standing in the door... and in that last instant when i saw the three of them for the last time as the train sped away, something inside me went off and i felt empty...i think i cried a lot that night...
but i found some great friends to comfort me and soon enough, i was having a ball of a time...
yes, bidding farewell to your folks is tough, incredibly tough...but then, college life beckons! go have fun! life's just beginning!
:)
all the best!
