Dude, you rock!

That's all I have to say to him - the true champ, the limelight hogger who made us all shout "Chak de, India", the shooting star with a "poker face", as he himself says, - yes, none other than the man of the moment, Abhinav Bindra, the first ever individual Olympics Gold Medalist of India. I've never felt this patriotic ever in life. Really, hearing our national anthem played and our tricolored flag raised right there on the podium in Beijing, after a long spun twenty eight years was one of the most glorious sporting moments of India. This is a wake up call for the people of India, who consider cricket equal to religion, to give sports like shooting and badminton due recognition.

Hats off to Abhinav and his coach for giving us this historic moment!

I checked out his blog a while back. While his first few entries posted last week had only about ten comments, his latest has over 600! Just imagine...becoming a celeb overnight! Yikes-a-doo, freaky yeah?

PS I like those tadpole eyes of his. Ahem, alright. Whatever!

yeah, abhinav made us proud that day....and more patriotic than ever...especially at the victory stand when the national anthem was played....and did you notice his humility when he said it was his day - another day another guy would have won...

@geets: Yeah, he's a humble guy alright! You never get to see people with so much of humility. I mean look at Sreesanth and the way success n fame got to his head.
