Oh Blimey!

OK, I guess I'm gonna end up believing in Murphy's Law after all. No, wait, or was that Finagle's law? Uh, whatever. The point is, I'm going totally insane. I mean, there's a bloody limit to everything right? For the past one hour, the electricity went off atleast six times, and each time while I was typing my second line. Oh, and don't even remind me about yesterday. I have no idea how I managed to cope up with that nine hour power cut.

Last week I took a visit to my college and man, I'm so in love with it. The campus was a lot huger than I had expected and everything, right from the conference rooms to the seminar halls to the canteen, was awesome. Though officially my college is starting only next month, I'd be having preparatory classes from this week onwards. For the time being I'm staying at mom's place with the two peskiest lil kids I've ever come across in my life. When I came to stay here, little did I know that I was casting myself into the lion's den. Really, those kids are the quintessence of mischief.
And it's wondrous how they are not scared of anything at all in this world, so it aint that easy to have them succumbing to my threats. Actually, yes, Tanku the younger one, is terrified of spiders. She told me about this species of spiders called "Dancing Spiders" which is apparently highly dangerous. She thinks that if those spiders bite you, you do a lil bharatnatyam, a lil disco, a lil bhangra - in short, a fusion dance and finally, fall flat on the ground and die off. Well, well, I must say that she's got a truly innovative mind. But yeah, dancing spiders do exist, though, of course they are a harmless lot. I remember seeing a feature on them in Animal Planet once.

Oh, and there's some good news, my aunt gave birth to a baby three days back. And voila, here comes another lil boy to call me "sis"! Ok, I guess I really gotta stop now.I can hear the two of em fighting with each other, a wall away. Wonder what they are upto this time. Darn, they shall never give me peace of mind. Aha, just wait till I give them a piece of my mind!

Till I catch ya guys next time, it's Mahi roaring off!

Great that you are having such a lovely time!

I guess the only thing Dubai is better in when compared to India is the constant supply of electricity :P

Ah, power cuts. Not experienced them often, have you? They're a routine thing during the summer here. Everyday it goes from 10:30 to 12:30 and then from 2:30 to 5. It's just a routine. That's the entire reason I decided to buy a laptop. :P

Anyway, what college are you going to? I'm sure it has a website. Do you mind showing it?

And kids, I know they're cute but I don't like the destructive kinds. There's one I know and he's managed to totally put me off kids. Or maybe it's because I was completely opposite. I was so lazy that I never even crawled. I just started walking one fine day. And if my parents would keep me on the bed, I'd keep lying there all day. The laziness still persists to a huge extent.

And LOL, the theory of spider bites is brilliant. Make sure she never watches Spiderman though because she might adopt that theory. This one is much more creative. Someone should make a movie on it!

@sam: Yep, can't agree with you more. But that's about the only aspect where Dubai stands out. I haven't seen the lil one yet. We'd be going tonight probably

@berry: hehe. Of course berry, how could I miss out that? But you know what, we wouldn't be having lab periods during the first year! So no hope of swatting flies :P

@Ish: Yeah yaar. In Dubai we have power cuts like once in two years or something. Anyway, by now I'm pretty much used to it. Yep, my college has a web site. Would be more than happy to show it to you. I'd send you the link, coz I don't wanna put it up in my blog.

Man, these kids are destructive, all right. But it's amazing how they could be so creative at the same time and come up with such awesome theories like the spider one. Lol, you're right, they should really make a movie on it :D

Oh, even I was damn lazy as a kid, and was only interested in sleeping the whole time. And I think I've just got worse over the years.:P

@saim: That's true. Kids live in an illusionary world of their own. And it's sad how easily experience could destroy that lovely little world of theirs.

@Gayatri: Now that I've joined I'm even more in love with it. Thanks, by the way!

@Ferri: Sure dear, they're more than making up for your absence. Yea, I guess it'll take another month for that fact to sink in, as far as you are concerned. Well, as for me, I'm feeling the change all around me. It's a passing phase. But I really miss you as well, man!
