Till the morning star shines again!

The lotus is a symbol of harmony and purity. It blooms by the day, fed by the energy of the sun and closes by night when the sun sets.

I had read this article on the significance of lotus and for some reasons felt like writing a poem :)

Here it is

Till the morning star shines again!

In your presence, the sublime dawn breaks
Indolently, I ascend from the calm waters
From my rooted existence, I discharge myself
With a thirst to seize the first beam of light

Shedding my old self, undergoing the act of purging,
My slender corollas spread out and open up
You instill in me a million hopes of a new life
While I bloom to your heavenly splendor

Hand in hand, we endeavor and symbolize purity
Extending our vibrancy all across the world
Together, we move along the prime hours
Until I realize that it is time for us to part

With a heavy heart, I sink back
Swamping, I return to my grounded spot
I cease to live and begin to exist
Till the morning star shines again…
